As of January 2022, the ABIM began offering a new exam feature called the Longitudinal Knowledge Assessment (LKA), a 5-year program to maintain certification. Physicians will be able to enroll in the LKA or can choose to take the traditional 10-year MOC exam if they prefer. The LKA assessment option will replace the 2-year Knowledge Check-In Exam that was rolled out in 2018. For more information on the LKA go to abim.org/lka

For those of you who are choosing the LKA instead of the 10-year exam, we have created a study package designed specifically for this new assessment comprised of:

• An LKA digital primer with supplements added periodically; the original primer published in October 2022 while supplement 1 was published in May of 2023 with supplement 2 following in January 2024. Supplement 3 was published in December 2024. After each guideline there are board type questions created from that guideline (there are hundreds of questions included). At the end of each document, the questions are listed again for study purposes.There are a total of 718 pages of material in all the LKA supplements to date!
• Realtime LKA quizzes based on the Primer and Supplements are added periodically as well. To date, there are 20 quizzes you can take. Get instant results of your quiz and even have the results emailed to you!
• The Digital Syllabus from the 2024 Steinberg Board Review in Gastroenterology & Best Practices Course.
• Access to our Online Practice Exams which include more than 1000 board-type questions.
